For the last
5 years we
have been developing and distributing a new software
for logopaedia (speech therapy), occupational
therapy and schools.
There are a growing number of
children today who have a hard time in learning how
to read and to write. Also many children have
problems with central auditory processing deficits
and are therefore hindered to develop a level of
speech and language performance that matches the
demands to be successful in acquiring academic
skills. Senso-X now has found hundreds of

Even if the sensory organs,
the eyes and the ears, are healthy, developmental
deficits in the perceptual brain functions can exist.
These deficits can impede the normal learning
processes eventually leading to serious consequences.
Therefore it is important to be able to enhance the
corresponding sensory capacities

How
can Senso-X have an impact to learning problems such
as dyslexia?
Many
impaired people can benefit by using the
program because an increasing processing deficit
makes speech perception and processing easier for
the brain. Encoding
and decoding takes less capacities, so automation
can take place and higher functions and tasks can be
performed much better.
With
the ears you can't look twice
The
human speech processing works with a very high
precision and fast recognition of dynamic changes in
amplitudes frequencies and time. If the
results of this process are not available strong and
fast enough one cannot build up the basic code to
use human speech as it is necessary in academic
skills. The time analyzing system makes speech out
of noise (Spreng 1984)
the
fundament of phonological awareness
This
time analyzing System has also to detect the
phonemes out of a spoken word.
The
phonemes always occur in a very rapid
succession. Bad sound recognition and problems
to differentiate between phonemes can stem from an
slow processing rate.
